❗ Where to Find My Member Number

There are 4 simple ways to access your member number: 

1. Refer to the Member Number ID card mailed to your address in January 2025.

2. Locate your member number on the top right of the first page of your monthly statement. Note: If you have a 16-digit member number and it is truncated on your statement, please use an alternate method. 

3. Call 623.580.6000 to obtain your member number

4. Visit a branch location during regular business hours to receive your member number. 
Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 5 PM | Friday 9 AM - 6 PM

Q. Why do I need my member number to set up my new upgraded banking login?
A.  First-time enrollment requires multiple pieces of identifying information to ensure the highest levels of safety and security. Member number is one of the required items. 

 

 

 

Debit and Credit Cards

Q. Can I use my debit and credit cards during upgrade weekend?
A. You can use your existing debit and credit cards during upgrade weekend. Debit cards will operate in stand-in mode and purchase limits may apply.  

Q. Where can I go for deposits and cash withdrawals during upgrade weekend?
A.
For deposits and cash withdrawals, you can always access any of our in-network or surcharge-free ATMS.

Q. I have a personal account. How will I log in to online banking beginning February 4, 2025?

Q. I have a business account and a personal account. How will I log in to online banking after upgrade weekend?

Q. I only have a business account. How will I log in to online banking after upgrade weekend? 
A. We will contact you with more detailed business enrollment instructions by February 2. We will be setting up your business profile during upgrade weekend and you will receive an email with instructions once this is complete. 

 

Q. Will I have access to the "old" online banking with my current username and password after February 4, 2025? 
A. No. Our current app and online banking platform will cease to operate as of January 31, 2025. Please see the calendar above for more dates and details about functionality during upgrade weekend. 

Q. Can I use the same username and password to access online banking?
A. No. With the enhancements coming with our system upgrade, new digital banking enrollment is required.   

Q. Can I complete my new online banking enrollment prior to February 4, 2025? 
A. No. This new system will be available for you as of February 4, 2025. 

Q. I have a joint account holder on my account(s) who has their own membership and member number. What will happen to their online banking access?
A. If your joint owners have their own membership Savings Account and member number, they can enroll and set up their own online banking access with the instructions listed above.

Q. I have a joint account holder who has a username and password and accesses my account online, but does not have their own member number. Will they still have access?

A. Joint account holders who do not have their own member number will have two options:

Option 1 (Preferred): The joint individual can set up their own membership at Copper State Credit Union. They can do this online, via phone 623.580.6000 or at any of our branch locations. This is the most secure way for your joint accountholder to access all necessary accounts within online banking. With their new member number, they will be able to set up online banking access using the instructions above. 

Option 2: Primary accountholder shares online banking access credentials (username and password) with joint accountholder(s) via a secure password manager solution such as LastPass or 1Password.

Q. Will I need to acknowledge a new online disclosure?
A. Yes. Each unique online banking user will need to accept the standard disclosure upon first login.

Q. Will I have access to my statements within online banking?
A. Yes. You can find your eStatements located within Messages in the main menu of our upgraded digital banking system. This is fully secured by your login and easily accessible within your digital banking platform.

Q. Will I be able to view cleared checks within online banking?
A. For checks cleared beginning February 2025 – yes. Simply click on the check number to view a copy. For checks cleared prior, please contact us to obtain check images.

Q. Will I be able to see Transaction History from my "Accounts" view?
To view transactions that occurred prior to February 2025, please reference previous statements. To view transactions that occur in February 2025 and beyond, you will be able to see transactions when viewing the account. 

Q. Will I be able to transfer funds to another member account at Copper State CU?
A. Yes. Select M2M Transfers located within your online banking menu.

Q. I created savings goals in online banking. Will that information transfer during the banking upgrade?
A. No. You will need to create new savings goals. You also have the option to create a budget with our new personal financial management tool and set up notifications to stay on track with both your budget and savings goals. 

Q. Will I be able to bring in balances on accounts I have at other financial institutions?
A. Yes. You can link and view other accounts directly in Copper State CU's online banking as long as you know the login credentials for that particular financial institution. You can also make transfers between accounts that you own.

Q. I use Zelle® within online banking. Will this be available?
A. Yes, Zelle® will be available. You will need to enroll again. If you currently use the Zelle® standalone app, please be aware that your access to Zelle® will move to the new Copper State Credit Union app. You will no longer be able to use the Zelle® app on its own.

Q. Will I need to download a new app?
A. Yes. You will need to download our new Copper State Credit Union mobile banking app from the App Store or Google Play on or after February 4, 2025. 

Q. Will the "old" app still work after upgrade weekend?
A. No. The last day to use the current Copper State CU app is January 30, 2025. 

Q. Can I download the new mobile app prior to February 4, 2025? 
A. No. The new app will be available for you as of February 4, 2025. 

Q. How will I login to mobile banking after the banking upgrade?

Account Numbers

Q. Where can I find my member number for first-time enrollment after February 4?
A. To locate your member number, see Where to Find My Member Number above for more info. Be sure to securely store your member number prior to January 31, 2025 as you will need this information to sign in for the first-time to upgraded banking. If you need assistance locating your member number, please contact us at 623.580.6000 during regular business hours, send a secure message within Online Banking, or visit a branch location during regular business hours. 

Q. Will my member number change?
A. No.

Q. Will I be able to view previous transactions?
A. To view transactions that occurred prior to February 2025, please reference previous months' statements. For transactions that occur in February 2025 and beyond, you will be able to see transactions in your Accounts view within upgraded online banking. 

Q. Is my member number the same as my account number?
A. No. Member number is connected to your individual membership with the credit union. Individual account numbers exist within that profile for various products and will differ from your member number. 

Q. If my 13-17 year old child has a Youth Checking Account, will this remain the same?
A. We're excited to announce that your teen's account will automatically convert to a Teen Checking Account. It will earn dividends and they can be issued a debit card if they don't already have one.
 

 



Loans

Q. How do I assure my Copper State CU loan payment is made on time if the due date is between Jan. 31 and Feb. 3?
A. If we receive your loan payment on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 your payment will be considered on time. Payments can be made in person, by mailed check or via Loan Payment within the new online banking. You can set up your Loan Payment in online banking up until 6 PM MST Thursday, January 30, 2025. If you have automatic payments currently set up for your loan, no action is needed.

Q. Can I still apply for a loan or open an account online during the upgrade weekend?
A. No, our online applications will be unavailable during upgrade weekend. 

 

Checks
Q. Do I need to order new checks?
A. No, there is no need to order new checks. Your existing checks will continue to work.

Statements

Q. I receive multiple statements, one for each of my accounts. Will this continue? 
A. No. Beginning with your March 1, 2025 statement (for February 2025) you will receive one paper statement with all of your accounts included. We encourage all members to enroll in eStatements to avoid the $2 monthly fee for paper statements. However, members ages 65+ or 17 and younger are exempt from the monthly paper statement fee. eStatements provide faster delivery and more security than receiving a paper statement 
 via mail.

Q. Will I still have access to eStatements within online banking?
A. Twelve (12) months of historical statements will be available within online banking beginning on February 4, 2025. For older statements, please contact us. 

Q. What if I need to access my eStatements during upgrade weekend? 
A. Please ensure that you log in to online banking before January 31, 2025 and download any needed statements. Statements will be unavailable during upgrade weekend January 31 - February 3, 2025.

Bill Pay

Direct Deposit & Automatic Payments 

Q. Will Bill Pay change?
A. No. All bill payments remain the same within online banking. All of your payees and scheduled payments will be carried over.

Q. Will I need to set up my payments and payees again?
A. No, your current payees, scheduled payments and history will be carried over and continue as normal.

Q. Can I add new payees or schedule new payments between January 28 - February 3, 2025?
A. No. All new payees and new scheduled payments need to be added before January 28 and/or after February 3.

Q. Can I add new bill pay payees beginning on February 4, 2025?
A. Yes, you will be able to add any new payees via online or mobile banking. 

Q. Will my direct deposit continue to post as it does today?

A. Yes. There is no need to make any changes. All direct deposits will continue to post as they do today. 

Q. I currently have automatic payments set up that pay out of my CashBack Checking account. Will I need to update my Checking Account number with each payee? 

A. No, you will not need to update your Checking Account number for automatic payments. Account numbers will remain the same and automatic payments will post as previously scheduled. 

 

 

 

 
 

Business Member Service

Attention QuickBooks, Quicken and Mint Users

With our migration to a new online and mobile banking system, you are required to make changes to your QuickBooks or Quicken software. Below you will find conversion instructions on how to transfer your transactions over smoothly. The conversion instructions reference two action dates. Please use the dates provided below:

  • 1st Action Date: Friday, January 31st, 2025
    A data file backup and a final transaction download should be completed by this date. Please make sure to complete the
    final download before this date since transaction history may not be available after the upgrade.

  • 2nd Action Date: Monday, February 3rd, 2025
    This is the action date for the remaining steps on the conversion instructions. You will complete the deactivate/reactivate 
    of your online banking connection to ensure that you get your current Quicken or QuickBooks accounts set up with the 
    new connection.

A. No. Our Member Solution Center will continue to support you. Call 623.580.6000 or 800.224.3330. 

Q. Can I continue to use my PIN for automated phone banking?
A. No. We are shifting to more secure methods of identification for phone banking and we look forward to sharing these with you.
